About Me

My name is Terin Simington. I was born and raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and made my way to Alaska in 2013. After a year in Fairbanks, I moved to Anchorage in 2014 to attend Alaska Career College for massage credentialing. I graduated and became a licensed massage therapist in 2015. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of chiropractic clinics while also traveling throughout the interior with my massage chair, bringing healing wherever it was needed.

My introduction to massage therapy came at the age of 15 after a serious horseback riding collision. That experience sparked a deep appreciation for the power of bodywork. Life continued to be rough and tumble, and my experiences have shaped both my personal and professional passions.

Personal Interests

I have always been drawn to the outdoors—horses, hunting, fishing, adventuring, and farm life are at the core of who I am. My family, my faith, conservation, self-sustainability, holistic living, mental health, healing, and youth development are all deeply important to me. These values influence my approach to both life and massage therapy.

My Approach to Massage Therapy

I am passionate about the intricate connection between mind, body, and spirit. My approach to massage could be described as “tear it apart and put it back together again.” I specialize in deep pressure, trigger point therapy, and cupping, though I also recognize the importance of lighter touch when needed. I believe massage should be a tool for long-term wellness rather than just a temporary fix. My goal is to help teach the body to relax, heal, and function optimally so that clients can get back to doing what they love.

I have extensive experience working with clients of all ages and stages, from prenatal massage to bereavement sessions and everything in between. I enjoy both learning and teaching—sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the years to empower others in their healing journey.

Experience and Expertise

Through my career and personal life, I have gained firsthand knowledge of how massage therapy can aid in pregnancy, recovery from broken bones, traumatic brain injuries, multiple concussions, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the everyday challenges of parenting. I haven’t exactly taken it easy on myself, and my journey has given me a deep understanding of how the body adapts and recovers.

My children have also experienced the benefits of bodywork through their own active lives—dealing with birth injuries, wrestling, horseback riding, and trekking through the tundra. Many of my impromptu training sessions have come from figuring out how to meet their new soft tissue challenges. They are a significant part of my journey, and without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
